All design for Polyweld Structures is done in-house. We account for all appropriate variables, such as ground conditions, prevailing winds, sun tracking, intended use and additional services.
The electronic revolution has vastly reduced the cost of making structural fabric projects. Through computer-aided design, architects and designers have the tools for ultimate creativity in defining indoor/outdoor space.
We use electronics for every aspect of designing and producing the structure. Stages of design may include:
- Lasers to collect data from the site to ensure 100 per cent precision in transferring information to the computer.
- Computer-aided design to generate a model that establishes the structure’s geometry, including height and position of structural elements, accounting for correct shading, shedding of rainwater and position relative to existing structures.
- Computer model that shows curvature and patterns that compensate for seam allowances to ensure an exact fit.
- Computers to plot and cut the PVC, ensuring accuracy.
- Electronics to weld the PVC as a one-piece membrane with no stitching holes, so it is strong, waterproof, and maintains integrity of the dirt-resistant surface.
- Laser data to set out the structural elements so they are in the correct place before we install the PVC.tallation.
